Here's a quick tip that won't take much time.
Picnics are not just for weekends. Plan one lunch this week outside. You could get carry-out but rather than taking the time when you could be breathing in fresh air, pack a lunch the night
before. Nothing elaborate, PB&J and some carrots will do.
Go by yourself or invite a friend or co-worker. Find a place with a little grass, a tree, and a bench. Better yet, throw a blanket in the trunk of your car and picnic on a lawn. There are parks scattered around the city. You can go on your county parks and recreation website to find a location near you.
During your picnic breathe in the freshness, notice the breeze on your skin, see the trees budding or in bloom, enjoy the colorful spring flowers, and feel the warmth of the sun on your head and shoulders.
Self care means making the time for those "ahhhh" moments.
