It is a  given that physical exercise, especially walking, lessens stress and is healthy  for our heart and other body systems. The benefit of being outside in nature  has the ability to change moods and add to a sen
se of  well-being. Communing with nature with a partner, friend, or family member can  enhance relationships. So why not combine all three and take a hike?
So many of us think hiking is for the outdoors or athletic type of  person. Yet, we will think nothing of taking a walk through a woods or  park when we are on vacation. Most hikes require no special equipment except  some comfortable shoes and a water bottle.
